waved bye-bye!!!

sayan consciously waved "bye-bye" today for the first time!!!! we've been doing that with him for the last couple of weeks and sometimes he flaps his arms but we never knew if it was just excitement or he was trying to wave but today we were waving bye-bye to daddy and he very purposefully did an obvious wave then looked up like he was proud. i immediately burst into tears :)

tub time

we had to get creative with sayan's baths in california-- he had fun in this tub at his uncle jonny and auntie lu's!

Hiking in FF (to Everybodys)

Beautiful 70 degrees today, thought we'd take the baby hiking carrier
for a test drive and Sayan loved it! Bring on the mountains -- or
actually any terrain other than campus potholes :)

music with daddy

little boy has been sick today, super bad cold and a bit of a fever. despite his discomfort he has been such a trooper with only the occasional moaning and tears. here is he enjoying some music time with daddy...

granma and nana got sayan these sunglasses for his cali trip-- he really liked them! we tried on a few pairs in the store and he took off every other pair. these he took off once to look at them but then put them back on. oh, and the "achoo" i was trying to get sayan to smile for phil's camera. sayan gets a kick out of sneezes. whenever he sneezes he laughs and when we pretend or real sneeze or even say "achoo" he usually laughs. of course when being filmed or photographed it didn't really work!
