sayan's cousins gave him this toy which he is enjoying...

so in addition to crawling sayan now does whatever it takes to get somewhere-- rolling, scooting or in this case dragging himself. before this week he would occasionally roll over to something but never with the frequency and one pointedness which he now does.

sayan's crawling has definitely been increasing every day-- he realizes now that he has the ability to get to something if he wants it badly enough. these days what he really wants is the stereo and daddy's video games.

first crawling!

sayan did his first crawling today on his nine month birthday! both jai and i were playing with him on the floor and he was wanting to get to a little stuffed pooh bear that auntie lu made him. we helped put him on all fours and he took several little wobbly "steps" or whatever it would be called-- he moved both hands twice and his knees once or twice. then he did it again a few minutes later. baby steps but he's getting there :)

i am ordering the baby gate right now.

nana's 90th birthday

the whole family gathered in boulder this february to celebrate nana's 90th birthday. very sweet and lots of fun.
