2 years old

Happy Birthday to our amazing son. Sayan, we are so proud of you. You are growing up with such grace and strength as your powerful heart remains your anchor. Your deep Silence penetrates our family and your sweet, sweet joy is infectious. We love learning with you and from you. You are an amazing communicator, and just as importantly, you are such a good listener. You have incredible insight and perception. We see you take measure of each new situation and are impressed with the courage you are showing more and more in trying new things, even if they aren't comfortable at first. Your caring and generous nature shines in everything you do, and we appreciate your remarkable patience and the natural respect you have for everything you interact with. We honor you and love you and give thanks every moment that we get to share this life with you.

"Dollies in the Window"

We went for a beautiful hike this afternoon. A good way up the trail
Sayan starts saying "dollies in the window, dollies in the window" and
pointing up a ravine to a little glade framed in by fallen trees. I
asked him if he meant "doggies" and he said no "dollies, babies". I
said, "oh, there are dollies up there?" "Yes." I asked him to
describe what he saw, what they looked like and he said they looked
like "Saynini" (what he calls himself). I said "so they are like
little people, like babies?" He said, "smaller people, dollies!" Thank
you, Santa Fe wood sprites, for welcoming us!
